Excellent Colt First Generation Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 349408, 32 WCF cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1926, this is an outstanding example of the legendary Peacemaker chambered in .32 W.C.F. Not only was the .32 W.C.F. cartridge noted as being very easy shooting out of the Single Action Army, it was easily paired with a Winchester Model 1873 or 1892 in the same caliber for ease of sourcing ammunition. The barrel has the standard one-line Colt Hartford address on top as well as “32 W.C.F.” on the left side. The frame has the correct two-line patent date marking followed by a Rampant Colt. The trigger guard is stamped with the number “3” and Colt “VP” verified proof. The matching full serial number is on the bottom of the frame and the right side of the front and back strap. The cylinder correctly has the matching last two digits of the serial number “08” on the rear face, and both grips have the whole matching serial number hand marked inside. It is fitted with a blade front sight, groove rear sight, and a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colts at the tops. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% of the bright original high polish blue finish and 95% plus of the vibrant original case colors with some light edge wear, cylinder drag lines, and light thinning on the grip straps. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. If you are looking for a benchmark Single Action Army in .32 W.C.F., look no further!
