One of the most famous variants of the MP5, the integrally silenced MP5SD was one of the best combinations of firepower and signature reduction during it’s period of use, and has a strong association with top tier special operations outfits like the U.S. Navy SEALs and British SAS. This example uses a threaded mounting collar at the base of the barrel for a detachable silencer instead of an integral can, but retains the barrel porting designed to start venting gas into the silencer before the bullet clears the muzzle. Features a hooded post front and four-position drum rear sights, along with model and caliber markings on top of the receiver. The receiver is the “shelf” pattern, with a functional paddle release, signature ribbed forearm, plastic trigger housing with pictographic markings that match the trigger pack, and a two- position telescoping buttstock. The bolt carrier has been professionally altered to engage the sear. CONDITION: Excellent as reconfigured, retaining 95% original black finish with light handling marks
overall. Furniture is in equal condition. The hammer slips off the sear if the trigger is manipulated during bolt return, causing the hammer to drop when the bolt closes on both full and semi-automatic, otherwise mechanically excellent. C) S&H Arms SD Silencer, Class III/NFA Silencer - Serial no. 4313377S, 9 mm , black finish. Steel and alloy construction, 12 inches in overall length, with an expansion chamber in the rear to accept the gases vented by the barrel porting and a baffle stack in the front half.
CONDITION: Very fine, with scattered light wear and handling marks. NOTE: This Silencer is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479,
National Firearms Act.
