But luck has very little to do with what brought Rock Island Auction Company to the doorstep of opening the finest brick- and-mortar auction facility in the United States in Bedford, Texas. If I am looking for inspiration or credit owed, it rests squarely on the broad shoulders of my father, Patrick Hogan,
our founder. He laid our foundation, brick by brick and by hand. He built this company as a business savant, a hardworking, no-nonsense, pissed-off Irishman with a chip on his shoulder who grew up the hard way on the south side of Chicago. You might not always agree with dad, but understand that whenever he comes, it is from a place of 100% authenticity. His vision, dedication, and work ethic are at the core of what RIAC is. Make no mistake about it.
