Modern Battery Gun Co. Gatling Gun with Tripod and Original Gatling Gun Manual - Serial no. 0238, 45 , 28 inch round bbl., blue/ bright finish. Manufactured by the Battery Gun Co. of Metamora, Michigan, as a full scale, fully functional Gatling gun. The construction
of the main body is brass, with the Battery Gun data plate on top, an array of blued barrels with blued support arms. The tripod is of steel
and hardwood construction, with an elevation adjustment screw. Absent magazine. Intended for use with .45 caliber reloadable steel percussion inserts (not included). Includes an original period “Manual of the
Gatling Battery Gun.”
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus original blue finish with some scattered patches of light surface corrosion on a few of the barrels, and the brass is bright with some light surface freckling. The tripod is also excellent with a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The included period manual is very good with some light wear.
