Colt M16A2 Commando Pattern Selective Fire Carbine, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with Scope and Accessories - Serial no. 8120342, 5.56x45 mm cal., 11 1/2 inch round bbl., matte grey finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured as part of the “8 million” commercial serial range, with a transitional three-position “SAFE/SEMI/AUTO” full automatic trigger group, instead of the three-round burst firing trigger group normally associated with the A2. Fitted with winged post front and adjustable two leaf rear sights, A2 pattern flash hider on the desirable 11 1/2 inch “Commando” pattern “C MP CB” marked barrel, no bayonet lug on the gas block, “C” marked bolt carrier, “MPC” marked bolt, three-position buffer tube (modified from two-position), and an A2 pattern upper receiver with fixed carry handle. Fitted with plastic ribbed carbine length handguard, plastic A2 pattern pistol grip, VLTOR EMOD adjustable polymer buttstock. Includes a Colt 3x20 mm scope (clear optics) with carry handle mount, quick-detach “BIPOD RIFLE M2” marked bipod, two Beta C-Mag 100-round drum magazines, two C-Mag loading tools, two nylon C-Mag drum pouches, and scope covers.

Colt M16A1 Selective Fire Carbine, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. 9377196, 5.56x45 mm cal., 14 3/4 inch round bbl., matte grey finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s, the “9 million” serial range M16s were intended for commercial or export sale, but made to the same military-grade specifications as Colt’s domestic armed forces contracts. Features winged post front sight, A2 bird cage flash hider on the “C MP/5.56 NATO 1/7” marked barrel, “C/MB” marked A2 fixed carry handle upper receiver with M4 feed ramps, “C” marked bolt carrier, “MPDC” marked bolt, six-position commercial buffer tube, and “H” marked buffer. The lower receiver features the “Rampant Colt” and model markings on the left side of the magazine well and a right-handed, three- position selector marked “SAFE/SEMI/AUTO.” The bolt catch has been modified without the paddle. Fitted with a ribbed six-hole carbine length handguard, A2 checkered pistol grip, and Rock River Arms telescoping stock.
