Colt M16A1 Selective Fire Carbine, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with Trijicon ACOG - Serial no. 9378266, 5.56x45 mm cal., 14 3/4 inch round bbl., matte grey finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s, the “9 million” serial range M16s were intended for commercial or export sale, but made to the same military-grade specifications as Colt’s domestic armed forces contracts. Features winged post front sight, A2 bird cage flash hider on the “C MP/5.56 NATO 1/7” marked barrel, “C” marked A4 pattern upper receiver with added M4 feed ramps, “C” marked bolt carrier, “MPMC” marked bolt, BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 charging handle, four-position buffer tube, and “H” marked buffer. The lower receiver features the “Rampant Colt” and model markings on the left side of the magazine well and a right-handed, three-position selector marked “SAFE/SEMI/AUTO.” Fitted with a ribbed handguard, A2 checkered pistol grip, and Magpul MOE telescoping stock. Includes a Trijicon TA01 4x ACOG scope (clear optics) with Tenebroex RCO-ARD, RM05 dual illumination dot sight on a piggyback mount and LaRue 4XDOS quick detach mount, KAC Micro style folding rear sight, and carry handle rear sight.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original matte grey finish with scattered light handling marks and faint edge wear. The furniture is excellent with light handing evidence. The included ACOG and RMR combo is also excellent. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
