 According to "U.S. Military Automatic Pistols 1894-1920" by Meadows, only 9,950 Colt 1911 Pistols were contracted to the United States Marine Corps.
Fitted with blade and notch sights, checkered slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, a pair of diamond pattern checkered grips, and a “B” marked two-tone magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original blue finish with some scattered light handling marks and very light edge wear. The grips are also excellent with some scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 35,000 - 55,000
