THE AMERICAN ARMS 180 WAS TESTED BY THE INFANTRY BOARD AT FORT BENNING IN THE 1970S, AND WAS GIVEN FAVORABLE REVIEWS BY TESTERS
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus original gold finish, showing only minor cycling wear and handling marks overall. The internal bearings surfaces show minor retraction wear, but the interior finish is still quite sharp. The magazine to receiver fit is excessively tight due to the plating, and may improve with work. The sear reset bearing/ spring in the trigger assembly need adjustment; the sear does not consistently catch the bolt when the handle is charged. The laser sight is in fine order as tested under live power; the company literature notes an internal battery, which we have not attempted to charge. The case is in excellent condition, showing only minor handling marks. A very rare variant of the American 180 M2 SMG. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C.
