Outstanding Pre-World War II Colt Ace Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 1520, 22 LR cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured in 1931, this is an outstanding example of a pre-World War II Colt Ace pistol. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear
sights, the two-line address and patent dates are on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt ahead of the serrations, and the Colt Ace logo and
caliber markings on the right. The frame is marked “43” on the right side of the trigger guard, “3/VP” on the left and fitted with a short checkered
trigger, wide checkered hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing, a set of fully checkered grips, and a two-tone magazine with Colt Ace marked
base. Includes a correct factory box numbered “1482” on the bottom (only 38 numbers away from this pistol), bore brush, tool, and test target also numbered for pistol “1482”. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original blue with some extremely light edge wear and a light takedown mark on the left. The grips are also excellent with only the
slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some light edge/corner wear. If you are looking for a benchmark pre-World War II Colt Ace pistol for your collection, look no further!

CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with minor thinning and spotting on the slide and gripstraps, light edge wear most noticeable on the counterweight collar, and limited light handling marks. The grips are also very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Very Fine Pre-War Colt Woodsman Semi-Automatic Pistol with King Barrel Counterweight System and Factory Letter -
Serial no. 116619, 22 LR cal., 4 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1937. Features King patented brass bead blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights, standard markings, and a King patented barrel weight system beneath the barrel (one barrel
weight installed) which was likely installed by King Gun Sight Company. Fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips. The accompanying factory letter confirms the 4 1/2 inch barrel in .22
caliber, blue finish, and type of stocks not listed when shipped to J. E. Haseltine & Company in Portland, Oregon, on August 28, 1937, as a lone shipment. J. E. Haseltine & Co. was a family operated hardware store brand that operated from 1883 to 1961, and was noted as one of the first hardware retailers to offer automotive components. The letter goes on to state: “Records indicate this firearm shipped as a standard stock item. No special sight or weight noted.”
