Outstanding Colt Shooting Master Double Action Revolver with Original Box - Serial no.
334025, 38 Special cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1933 as one
of only 2,500 Colt Shooting Master revolvers built in .38 Special, with this being one of the finest that we at Rock Island Auction have ever had
the pleasure to catalog. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line address and patent dates and the left is marked “COLT SHOOTING MASTER .38”. The left side of
the frame has the “VP” proof and Rampant Colt at the rear on the sideplate. The matching serial number is marked on the frame and crane. Both the front and back gripstraps have the standard deep factory checkering. The revolver is fitted with a pinned Patridge blade
front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, and a pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions. Includes the original green leatherette box numbered on the floor of the interior, matching number original test target, and Colt “Shooting Suggestions” and “Special Instructions pamphlets.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original rich blue finish, barely visible cylinder drag line, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the grip panels and backstrap. The box is fine with moderate wear, taped lid corners, and worn lettering. Mechanically excellent. This is a chance to own what is possibly one of the finest Colt Shooting Master in this configuration extant!

Exceptional Documented Colt New Service Model Double
Action Revolver with Rare 4 1/2 Inch Barrel and Factory Letter - Serial no. 200514, 45 Long Colt cal., 4 1/2 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1924, this is an outstanding example of a Colt New Service revolver. The included factory letter confirms
the current configuration including the desirable .45 Long Colt caliber, grips not listed, sale to Union Hardware Co., and shipment to
Simmons Hardware Co. in St. Louis on 16 September 1924. The barrel has the standard markings and the Rampant Colt is marked on the left of the frame. The trigger guard has a verified proof and “3” on the left. It is fitted with blade front and frame top groove rear sights, a lanyard loop on the butt, and a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with “COLT” in ovals at the tops.
