CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel and magazine tube retain 95% original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. The receiver retains 90% plus vivid original case colors. The lever retains 75% original case colors. The takedown collar and hammer retain 95% plus original case colors. 95% original nitre blue remains on the loading gate. The wood is also excellent with some minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. An outstanding example of Marlin artistry at the end of the 19th century worthy of the finest collection. Estimate: 45,000 - 75,000
