LOT 1419
Soviet BTR-152K Armored Personnel Carrier - Offered here is a Soviet BTR-152K Armored Personnel Carrier (APC). These were manufactured in the Soviet Union between 1950-1959 prior to the introduction of the BTR-60, and were put into service with a number of Warsaw Pact member states. The BTR-152K variant, as seen here, was introduced in 1959, with notable features including an armored roof with three hatches on top as opposed to previous variants having an open top which left the crew vulnerable, an internal tire pressure regulation system and a filtering ventilation system. The BTR-152 sits atop the same chassis as the Soviet ZIS-151 utility truck but is completely armored. Other notable features include firing ports on the sides of the troop compartment, machine gun mounting points up top, and a winch on the front. BTR-152s are still in active service with numerous users across the world. Examples of these stateside are uncommon, making this a rare opportunity to acquire one!
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 99% green painted finish. The undercarriage has some rust and corrosion visible, with a few holes in the muffler. The interior is very good with most of its components, the passenger seat has a few tears, and there is scattered paint flaking throughout the inside. The tires are fine with some light wear. Mechanically runs fine.
