Astra Model 900 Broomhandle Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Matching Numbered
Stock - Serial no. 27925, 7.63 mm cal., 5
1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1933 the Astra
Model 900 has a slightly different lock work, but in overall appearance and operation
very closely resembles the Mauser ‘96 Broomhandle Pistol, and was a popular item
both in Europe and further abroad, most famously China. Blade front and 1000-yard
tangent rear sights, with a large ring hammer, Spanish proofs on the right side of the
barrel, chamber and frame, and the three-line Astra nomenclature, patent date and
the Guernica address on the side plate. Fitted with 12-groove matching numbered walnut grips and lanyard ring. Included with the lot is a hardwood shoulder stock with a niter blue finished mounting iron and a matching serial number stamped inside the lid.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing scattered minor spotting and handling marks. Strong niter blue finish is present on the small parts. The excellent grips and stock show
some light scuffs and dings, with minor spotting on the otherwise excellent
mounting iron and hinge. Mechanically excellent.

Very Scarce Roth-Sauer Model 1900 Semi- Automatic Pistol
- Serial no. A578, 7.65 mm cal., 4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips.
A predecessor of the Roth-Steyr pistol, the
Roth-Sauer is built around a long recoil action,
similar clip-loaded internal magazine in the grip, and
utilizing the proprietary 7.65 mm Roth ammunition. Fixed blade
and notch sights, the Sauer address on the top rib, “PATENT/
ROTH.” on the frame above the chamber and the Sauer logo at
the rear. Fitted with a knurled cocking knob, smooth trigger,
and checkered grips with raised Sauer logos.
CONDITION: Fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing
areas of brown patina, scattered oxidization, and a number of scratches and dings overall. An area of heavy wear/scuffing is present on the right side of the frame, possibly from the removal of a crest or other marking. The grips are very good, with some smoothing of the checkering and minor dings. Mechanically very good. Estimate: 2,500 - 3,750

grips. Blade front and notch
rear sights, with the three-line
address and patent markings on
the left side of the slide, Pieper’s
“Bayard” trademark on the left
side of the magazine well, niter
blue extractor and checkered grip
panels. The grips are numbered to
match the frame, and the correct
pattern magazine is mismatched to the pistol.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% plus original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, light handling marks, and a small amount of spotting. The
386 grips are very fine, with some light scuffs and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

Mauser Model 1930 Commercial Broomhandle Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 893636, 7.63 mm Mauser auto
cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This is
a very nice example of a late 1930s Broomhandle Mauser
pistols. This version was the last of the 1896 Mauser pistols produced before production stopped. This version has the large reinforced barrel over the breech area with two milled panels on each side of the frame and it lacks the milling along the lower radiuses edge of the upper receiver. The top of the chamber area is marked “WAFFENFABRIK, MAUSER, OBERNDORF A/N” and the left side rear panel area has the “MAUSER” logo and the right side is marked “WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A. NECKAR D.R.P.u.A.P. “. The tangent rear sight is graduated from
50-1000 meters and the walnut grips have
twelve grooves.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with 95% of
the original blue finish with several areas
of minor blue loss on the upper receiver
rails, the underside of the barrel, the rear grip strap, the front
of the floorplate and general edges and high spots. The grips
good color on both sides with just a couple of dents on the left grip. Mechanically Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

Exceptional Roth-Steyr Model 1907 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. 41633, 8 mm cal., 5 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips.
Blade front and notch rear sight, with “WAFFENFABRIK STEYR” on top of the
barrel rib and “W-n. (eagle) 10” on the rear of the frame. Fitted with a set of ribbed hardwood grips with an unmarked unit disc on the right side.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, areas of brown patina, a set of rubs/scratches on the right side of the barrel housing, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very fine, with mild dents on the bottom
of both panels. Mechanically excellent.

Mauser Model 1896 Small Ring Broomhandle Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. 138202, 9 mm cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Blade front and
500-yard tangent rear sights, with the Mauser address on the chamber and frame,
“crown/crown/U” proof on the chamber, matching visible serial numbers and NS
hammer. The grips and magazine floorplate are also matching numbered, the former
bearing a set of branded and painted red “9” markings, the latter equipped with a
grooved follower in the style of the “9x25mm Export” chambering.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% plus arsenal refurbished blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges and around the stock slot, minor spotting, and a small amount of spotting. The grip panels show some internal splitting, but are otherwise very fine with some light dings. Mechanically excellent.
