CONDITION: Fine with attractive aged patina on the silver, 85%
plus of the period rebrowned finish and Damascus patterns visible
along the barrels, bright gold, smooth gray patina on the locks,
and generally minor overall wear. The stock is also fine and has
some minor chips, faint hairline cracks, a small insect hole by the
standing breech, small slivers absent, scattered dings and scratches,
and crisp checkering and carving. Mechanically excellent.
B) D. Egg Double Barrel Pistol - NSN, 36 bore cal., 10 inch solid rib bbl., brown/
casehardened/gold/silver finish, relief carved walnut stock. See “A”.

The stock is also fine and has some minor chips and slivers absent at the edges, a faint crack at the forearm tip, scattered dings and scratches, and crisp checkering and carving. Mechanically excellent. Overall, an attractive pair of double barrel flintlock pistols from renowned gunmaker Durs Egg.
