Harrington & Richardson Model 50 Reising Submachine Gun, Class
III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. S5013, 45 ACP
cal., 11 inch fluted round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. A closed-bolt, blowback-operated submachine
gun, the Reising Model 50 saw action with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific as a substitute for the M1 Thompson, though they found their best success as defensive weapons for war-essential industries and as patrol carbines
for American police forces. Blade front and elevation adjustable peep rear sights, with a flash hider/muzzle brake, cooling fins on the barrel, narrow-profile magazine well, three-line Worcester address near the ejection port, and three-position selector/safety on the right side. Smooth pistol grip stock with a cocking lever on the underside and a lightly ribbed buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, with 95% plus parkerized finish, with covered pitting on the barrel, mild spotting and a number of light handling marks. The stock shows internal chipping and cracking, with the exterior in very good condition, showing mild dents and scuffs. Mechanically fine. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is
classified as a “Curios or Relic” as defined
in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are
still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C.
Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.

U.S. Read Machinery Company M2 60mm Infantry Mortar, Class III/NFA Destructive Device - Serial no. 4852A, 60mm cal., 23 inch round bbl., green finish. A licensed copy of
the French 1935 “Brandt”, the M2 was America’s go-to light infantry mortar from World War II into the Vietnam War. The M2 operates on similar principles to the WWI Stokes Mortar, where rounds are muzzle loaded and allowed to drop on a fixed firing pin,
a setup that is extremely robust, highly effective, and permits an impressive rate of fire. The main tube and endcap are finished in green, with the endcap bearing the maker’s marks and serial number. The baseplate and bipod are also finished
in green, with the bipod bearing a brass Read data plate on the windage adjustment mechanism. A number of accessories are included, The rectangular
baseplate is finished to match the tube, with the bipod assembly being of brass and green painted steel construction. Included with the lot is an M1
gunner’s quadrant with steel case, M4 optical sight with brown leather case, manual, endcap, baseplate pouch, two ammo pouches, a pair of
shoulder pads, nine tailfin assemblies, one (inert) nose cone assembly, and a canvas pouch containing a number of small parts (appears to be
primarily for the Lewis light machine gun).
CONDITION: Fine. The tube and endcap retain about 70% of the
green finish, with areas of bright wear from contact with the bipod, areas of brown patina, and scattered spotting and
oxidization. The baseplate and bipod are in similar condition, with heavier oxidization. Accessories are in good order.
The firing pin is absent. NOTE: This Destructive Device is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms
and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479, National
