Documented Employee Shipped Colt Cobra Prototype Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter and Case - Serial no. RA0000004, 38 Special +P cal., 2 inch solid rib bbl., matte stainless finish, rubber grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver in .38 Special with a 2 inch barrel, stainless finish, Hogue rubber stocks with the Colt logo, fiber optic front sight and shipped to Newington Gun Exchange in Newington, Connecticut for Colt chief engineer, Paul Hochstrate on March 24, 2017. The letter further remarks that this Cobra revolver featured a bar stock hammer, trigger and hand, a rapid prototype transfer bar, and a prototype mainspring. The revolver was also used for company testing and as part of the 2017 SHOT Show display. Includes original blue plastic Colt hard case. CONDITION: Excellent overall with a few light handling marks and a light cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent.

Rare Documented Colt Factory Collection Prototype Lightweight Model Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter and Case - Serial no. 13094LW, 32 Colt police cal., 2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver with a 2 inch barrel chambered in .32 Police Positive with wood grips with “Old Style Medallions”, manufactured on July 2, 1952, and shipping date as having never left the factory. The letter further states that this revolver was a prototype used by the Colt engineering department for the design process of the lightweight series of revolvers, and was kept in the engineering office vault. The revolver was auctioned at the Las Vegas Antique Gun Show on February 2, 1980. Includes a Colt Custom French fit hardwood case. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine. Rare and Desirable Documented Colt Factory Collection Prototype MK III J-Frame Double Action Revolver with Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. X9704, 357 magnum cal., 4 inch heavy round bbl., polished stainless finish, walnut grips. Offered here is a rare factory prototype of an unknown Mark III series Colt revolver which was never put into production. The included factory letter lists this revolver as chambered in .357 Magnum with a 4 inch heavyweight barrel, polished stainless finish, checkered walnut wraparound grips, wide spur hammer and without markings when shipped on October 16, 2008. The letter further remarks that the revolver was an experimental prototype kept by the Colt factory and the original label was a yellow card (not included) marked “Delta” which is believed to have been what the model would have been named had it been released. Includes a two-piece Colt “woodgrain” box. CONDITION: Excellent overall with some handling marks, front cylinder flash marks, a cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
