Fine Cased Civil War Era Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver - Serial no. 146509, 36 cal., 7 1/2 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened/silver finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1863. The barrel has a cone front sight and the one-line
New York address. The cylinder has the classic Naval Battle of Campeche scene, and the cylinder and frame have the standard patent markings. The left side of the trigger guard is marked “36 CAL” as well as “7.” It has the standard blued, casehardened, and silver plated finishes. Matching full serial numbers appear on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap. The matching partial serial numbers appear on the cylinder, loading gate, and arbor pin. The wedge is numbered to another gun (“6411”). The partitioned case has wine colored lining, a few lead bullets, a “COLT’S/PATENT” marked iron bullet mold, original powder flask with patriotic/military theme marked “COLTS/PATENT,”“L” shaped combination tool, and Eley cap tin.
CONDITION: Fine. The barrel retains 75% bright original high polish blue finish. The cylinder retains traces of original blue finish with nearly all of the roll engraved scene remaining.
30% original case colors remain on the loading lever, frame,
and hammer. The grip straps retain 95% age darkened original silver. The grip is excellent with a few minor handling marks and retaining nearly all original varnish. Mechanically excellent. The relined case is good with some minor handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear on the lining. The flask is fine and the other accessories are good.

Extremely Fine Cased Colt London Model 1849 Percussion Revolver - Serial no. 9119, 31 cal., 5 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut grips. revolvers were manufactured from 1853 to 1857 and serial numbered in their own range, 1-11,000. This is a nice example of a cased 1849 Pocket London manufactured in 1856. The London Model is identical in configuration to the standard Model 1849 but has a higher quality of finish with this example having blued iron grip strap. The top barrel flat is marked “-{ADDRESS. COL. COLT./LONDON.}-” inside fancy brackets. “COLTS/PATENT” is on the left side of the frame, and the cylinder is roll engraved with the stagecoach holdup scene. The left side of the barrel lug is marked with “crown/GP” and “crown/V” London proofmarks, and the same proofmarks alternate on the cylinder between the nipples. The complete matching serial number is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, cylinder, back strap, loading lever,
and wedge, with the arbor pin having the matching partial serial number “119.” Complete in a mahogany partitioned case with blue velvet lining and a blank inscription plaque on the lid. The case contains a James Dixon powder flask, Eley Brothers cap tin, blued iron “COLT’S/PATENT” marked double cavity bullet mold, “L” shaped combination tool, cleaning rod, and a few lead balls and bullets. CONDITION: Extremely fine. The barrel retains 85% bright original high polish blue finish. The cylinder retains 50% plus original blue finish with a crisp roll engraved scene. The grip straps retain 40% original blue finish in and around the protected areas. The hammer, frame, and loading lever retain 80% original case colors. The
grip is very fine with minor handling marks and retaining most of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with a cracked revarnished lid,
minor handling/storage marks, and some typical high spot wear in the lining.
The accessories are all fine or better. A cased Colt London Model 1849 percussion revolver that displays nicely.
