CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with 85% plus original case colors and blue finish, light aged patina on the German silver, crisp engraving, faint proofs, and minor age and storage related wear including some light spotting. The grip is very fine and has crisp checkering and minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically fine. The case and accessories are fine with mostly minimal wear.
Exceptional Finely Engraved Manton English Six-Shot Bar Hammer Double Action Percussion Revolver - NSN, 39 cal., 6 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut grips. It has fine English scroll and floral engraving, a right offset bar hammer to allow viewing of the small German silver bead front sight, “MANTON LONDON” marked on top of the barrel, 1-6 marked on the side of the cylinder between the chambers, Birmingham proofs on the barrel and cylinder, and checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 95% original high polish blue finish on the barrel and 90% plus vivid case colors with some light fading on the back strap, and sharp engraving. The trigger guard retains 40% original blue finish. Grips are excellent with crisp checkering, and a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Exceptional Cased Engraved Spencer “Improved Revolving Pistol” British Percussion Pepperbox Revolver - NSN, 42 cal., 3 1/2 inch fluted bbl., casehardened/blue/ bright finish, walnut grips. Gunmaker Mathew Spencer Jr. of 52 High Street in Lynn was active around the late 1830s until his death in 1852. This high end pepperbox features a casehardened cylinder with border engraving at the muzzles, deep grooves between the chambers, London
proofs, and 1-6 numbered at the breech end. The German silver action has scroll engraving, “IMPROVED/REVOLVING PISTOL” inscribed on the right, “Spencer. LYNN” on the left side, blued sliding hammer stall on top, and a blued trigger guard. The finely checkered grip has a vacant oval escutcheon
