The wedge escutcheons and other stock inlays are silver, including an inlay with the winged helm of Hermes over an shield with
the initials “GM”. The two-piece stock features a dark horn cap, raised relief scroll carving, checkering on the forend, scale pattern checkering on the thumb rest, a large cheekpiece, and inlaid
silver floral accents. The forend is designed with a slit ahead of the ramrod entry-point allowing the barrel to be removed with the forend still attached by removing the rod and the rear wedge. CONDITION: Fine overall with crisp engraving and designs throughout, bright gold, dark aged patina on the silver,
mottled brown patina along the barrel, mostly minor overall wear, including some dings and scratches on the wood and an incomplete hair trigger. Mechanically fine.
