Factory Game Scene Engraved Aguirre & Aranzabal Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun Three Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 108185, 12 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. This gun was built with blued steel barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted flat vent rib which is marked with a gold inlaid “1” at the base, maker’s marks to the left and right of the breech, scroll engraving around the chamber, choke constrictions of inches .001/.011 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a coin finished hand detachable sidelock action which displays scroll engraving
surrounding “AGUIRRE Y ARANZABAL” banners on the left, right, and underside along with a gold AYA logo on the toplever and a pair of game scenes showing a flock of mallards on the left and covey of pheasants on the right. The gun features cocking indicators on the lockplates, a single selective trigger, and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid “S”
indicator. The gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings as
well as a pistol grip stock with black hard rubber grip cap, “GAP” in gold inlaid directly into the wood, and skip -line checkered bare butt. Included are two extra matching numbered and engraved 26 inch 12 gauge barrel sets with a gold “2” or “3” at the base with choke constrictions of .009/.021 inches and .024/.053 inches respectively. Also included is a wood and leather takedown case that houses the set. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 5 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes with some wear near the muzzle, a few spots of discoloration on the action, loss of gold on cocking indicators and selector button and overall minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few light dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrels are very fine with minor wear. Case is very good with an absent strap. Factory Engraved Beretta 20 Gauge Model AS-20EL Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 15760, 20 gauge, 27 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1955 and built with blued Bohler Steel barrels with a single brass bead sight on the matted vent rib, import mark beneath the forend, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrels are mated to a coin finished action displaying attractive scroll engraving with floral flourishes extending to the toplever, tangs, and triggerguard. The gun features a single trigger and tang mounted manual safety switch. The shotgun is mounted in a beautifully checkered, exceptionally well-figured multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and slender straight grip stock with shield shaped initial escutcheon and checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with some minor handling marks and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some minor handling marks, a stress line off the upper tang, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000
LOT 415 Game Scene Engraved and Gold Inlaid Ferlach Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 3491, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in Ferlach in 1952 and imported by Flaig’s in Pennsylvania. Blued Bohler Steel barrels with brass and plastic bead sight on the matted ventilated rib which is gold inlaid “FOREVER YOURS” near the chamber, chambers marked 2 3/4 inches, chokes marked modified/full, and light border engraving at the breach. The coin action displays three game scenes consisting of a hound and a trio of grouse on the left, a fox and a pheasant on the right, and a lone duck on the underside, all surrounded by floral scroll engraving with wavy line borders on the bolster. The triggerguard is engraved “FLAIG’S” over a panel with the Flaig’s lodge in Millvale, Pennsylvania. Fitted with double triggers and a manual tang safety with gold inlaid “S”. Mounted in a nicely figured and contrasted multipoint checkered walnut three-piece forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, blank initial oval on the underside, and solid Decelerator recoil pad. Includes a generic soft case. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at the comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at the heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 12 oz.

LOT 416 Factory Game Scene Engraved F. W. Heym Combination Gun - Serial no. 26631, 16/8x57JR gauge, 2 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp Steel barrels with a beaded blade front and flip up rear sight on the matted solid rib and maker’s mark on the left of the chamber and light scroll and oak leaf engraving at the breech. The shotgun barrel has a 2 9/16 inch chamber with a choke constriction of .009 inches. The sideplated action displays game scenes of three roe deer hind and a pair of mallards and a red stag bull with three hind in a wooded scene surrounded by oak leaf and acorn engraving with a burst going up the bolster. The triggerguard is engraved with a setter carrying a pheasant in its mouth surrounded by more oak leaves and acorns. Fitted with double triggers (front trigger is single set) and tang mounted manual safety. Mounted in a nicely figured multipoint checkered walnut Schnabel tip forend with engraved fittings and a Deeley latch and pistol grip buttstock with black grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and basket weave hard rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 3/16 inches. With brown leather sling. Weight 6 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some dings and scratches, a hairline crack off the top tang, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
LOT 417 Factory Engraved Gebruder Merkel Boxlock Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 83772, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Special Laufstahl barrels with a single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard era factory markings, import mark under forend, 1972 dated German proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished bolstered boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving which extends to the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs. The gun features double triggers (front articulated) and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Attractive, nicely figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with black polymer grip cap and buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4mm (.724 inches) and both measured .726 inches; choke constriction .028/.042 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.032 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, 95% plus original coin finish, minimal minor handling evidence, some areas of light discoloration in the coin, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
