The barrels are fitted to a sideclipped coin finished Holland & Holland type self-opening sidelock action which displays extensive bouquet and scroll engraving with gold inlaid fleur-de-lis flanked by “A” and “C” in a circle panel on the triggerguard and features bushed firing pins, single non- selective trigger, and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and an Anson button release and a straight grip stock with tear drop carved drop points, blank gold inscription oval, and a skip line checkered bare butt. Includes a leather mutton case. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; weight

CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with minimal handling marks, a small patch of spotting on the upper tang, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some scattered dings and scratches concentrated on the buttstock and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good. Estimate: 4,000 - 7,000

Matched Pair of Factory Vincente Alberdi Signed Engraved and Gold Inlaid Arrieta Y Cia Sidelock Side by
Side Shotguns with Boxes -A) Arrieta y Cia Sidelock Shotgun - Serial no. 57-03-93-03, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Both
shotguns manufactured in 2003. The pair is built with blued steel barrels with single bead
sight on the matted rib and a spray of floral scroll engraving at the breech, and right barrel marked
“Foa de Escopetas Arrietta-Elgoibar Espana”, chokes marked improved cylinder/modified, and chambers marked 2
3/4 inches. The barrels are mounted to coin sidelock actions with near full coverage engraving
with “ARRIETA Y. CIA.” on the locks and “FABRICA DE/ARRIETA Y CIA./ELGOIBAR” on the underside.
The engraving works its way onto the top lever and triggerguard where it surrounds a gold inlaid
fleur-de-lis flanked by the letters “A” and “C” surrounded by a wire border. The guns are gold
inlaid with a “1” or “2” on the ribs, toplevers, and forends. The engraving on both guns is signed
“V. Alberdi” for the noted engraver Vicente Alberdi. The actions are fitted with double triggers
(front trigger is articulated) and automatic tang mounted safeties. The pair is mounted in nicely
figured, beautifully contrasted multipoint checkered walnut splinter forends with engraved fittings
and Anson button releases and straight grip stocks with teardrop flats, “LWM” inscribed initial
escutcheons, and checkered bare butts. Each gun includes export paperwork, proofing certificate, and box. Barrel and stock measurements
(R/L): bore nine inches from the breech proofed at 18.5mm (.728 inches) and both measured at .727 inches; choke constriction of .013/.019 inches;
minimum wall thickness .030/.028 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at the comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at the heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, some light handling marks and crisp engraving. Wood is
very fine with some handling marks, a hairline off the right lock, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good.

CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks and crisp engraving and forend and stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good.
