Factory Engraved Cogswell & Harrison 20 Gauge Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 68184, 20 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on
the smooth concave solid rib which is signed “COGSWELL & HARRISON. LTD. ‘SANDHURST.’ 168. PICADILLY. LONDON”, light engraving at the
breech, 1955 dated Birmingham proofs on the flats, choke constrictions of .000/.007 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are mated to a handsome casehardened
sideplated boxlock action which displays near full coverage floral scroll engraving along with
“COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD.” signatures on either sideplate and features dual triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with
engraved fittings and Anson button release as well as a straight grip stock with blank gold inscription oval and a leather covered recoil pad. Included is a wood and leather takedown case with a pair of snap caps, an oiler, and a set of cleaning tools. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 15 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence, slight rub at the breech, a few minor scratches on the stock, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with light storage/transit wear.

Factory Engraved Daniel Fraser & Co. Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 2328, 12 gauge, 30 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib
which is signed with the Fraser address, light engraving near the breech, period Birmingham proofs, choke constrictions of .000/.023 inches, and 2 1/2 inch chambers with extractor. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened boxlock action with nice scroll engraving surrounding “DANL FRASER & CO.” banner on either side and featuring bushed firing pins, double triggers, and an
automatic tang mounted safety with gold “SAFE” indicator. The gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and Anson button release as well as a straight grip stock with checkered hard rubber buttplate. Included is a leather mutton leg takedown case and a leather slip-on recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Very good overall, retaining 85% original blue finish with much of the loss on the triggerguard/lower tang, 90% original casehardened finish, some scattered light spotting, a few dings and scratches in the wood, small chip at the left rear of the forend, and well-defined checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good, lid detached. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,500
LOT 457 Fine Factory Engraved Darne 16 Gauge P17 Grade Sliding Breech Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 55894, 16 gauge, 26 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single brass bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, nice engraving at the breech, import mark under the forend, choke constrictions of .036/.029 inches, and chokes marked 2 3/4” with extractors. The barrels are mated to a beautifully coin finished and scroll engraved sliding breech action which features nitre blue pins, double triggers, and slide safety with gold inlaid “F” and “S” indicators. The gun is fitted to a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend with horn tip and a semi-pistol grip stock with a checkered horn buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 15 inch length of pull; slight cast-off; weight 6 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% re-blued finish to the barrels and original coin finish to the action with minor handling evidence, a few scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Factory Engraved British Belmont Interchangeable Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 4243, 12 gauge, 30 3/16 inch solid rib bbl., brown/casehardened/ blue finish, walnut stock. Likely manufactured by C. G. Bonehill, this gun was built with browned Damascus steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib, import mark under the forend, choke constrictions of .001/.035 inches, and 2 1/2 inch chambers. The barrels are mated to a casehardened Anson & Deeley patent boxlock action which displays scrollwork around game bird scenes on either side and dogs on the underside and features double triggers
and a tang mounted manual safety with gold “SAFE”. The gun is fitted with attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend with Anson button release
and engraved fittings and a round knob pistol grip stock with checkered flats, large horn inlaid drop points, blank gold inscription oval, and a engraved steel toe and heel plates flanking a checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 3/4 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; sight cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original brown finish, 20% case colors mainly in the protected areas, some blue wear at the lower tang, and light handling evidence. The wood is very good with some scratches and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
