Framed Collotype Print of L.A. Huffman’s “The Old Lu Bar Camp” - L.A. Huffman (1835-1931),
an immensely influential and historically important frontier photographer of the American West, documented Montana’s cowboys, ranchers, landscapes and native populations in their natural states. “The Old Lu Bar Camp” displays a scene all too common amidst the ever changing western landscape. A dilapidated structure that more than likely housed buffalo hunters at one time sits abandoned against the snowy Montana landscape. The image is housed in a 26 3/8 inch by 16 7/8 inch frame and has “L.A. Huffman” in the lower right corner.
CONDITION: Excellent with limited storage and handling marks and a distinct image.
