”The revolver was added to his survey in early 2005 and falls between two Cavalry Models (No. 113276 and 113279) that are also in the survey. Kopec stated that the revolver was part of a 30 gun shipment to the State of New Jersey on July 30, 1885.
CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain 97% original blue finish showing some holster type wear along with a tiny patch of pitting and a few scratches on the right side of the barrel towards the muzzle. The cylinder retains 95% original blue finish with high edge wear. The grip straps retain 95% original blue finish with attractive striping on rear. The frame retains 95% original case colors. 95% original case colors remain on the hammer. The grip is also excellent some minor handling marks mostly on the bottom and crisp date and cartouches. Mechanically excellent. Simply the finest New Jersey militia marked U.S. Colt Cavalry Model revolver we have had the pleasure of cataloging! A must have for the
serious Colt or U.S. militaria collector.
