Exceptional World War II U.S. Inland Mfg. Div. M1A1 Semi-Automatic Paratrooper Carbine with Jump Case - Serial no. 318379, 30 Carbine cal., 18 inch
round bbl., parkerized finish, metal/hardwood
stock. Manufactured in the Autumn of 1943, within the known serial number range (approximately
42,000 to 850,000) of the “first contract” run of Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbines, totaling 71,000 produced from
October 1942 to October 1943. Features a “N” marked winged blade front and “S” marked flip peep rear sights, “8-43”
dated Inland barrel, “P-I” marked Type I slide, “A.I.” blued flat top bolt, milled Inland trigger housing, smooth button safety, “W-I”
Type III magazine catch, “RI” sear, and “HI” marked Type III “dog leg” hammer. Fitted with a high-wood oiled walnut stock marked “IO on
the interior, featuring a folding wire metal butt with leather cheek rest and cast buttplate, “fat boy” walnut pistol grip marked “IO” and
“crossed cannons” on the bottom, and topped off with an “IO” marked two rivet deep groove handguard. Includes a web M1A1 Carbine drop-leg jump case for paratroopers, web sling, and oiler.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% plus original parkerized finish with minor edge wear, scattered minor spotting/freckling within the finish, limited minor pitting on the buttplate, some brown patina showing, and otherwise mild handling wear. The stock is fine with numerous dents and a chip missing from the nose and left of the grip, a minor dent in the left of the buttplate, but otherwise minor handling evidence and rich original oil finish. Mechanically excellent. The jump case is very fine.

Excellent World War II U.S. Springfield Armory M1 Garand Semi- Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 1010453, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in December 1942, a
year after the United States’ forced entry into World War II. Features winged blade front sight and type 2 “lock-bar” rear sight assembly, unmarked narrow- base gas cylinder with single-slot plug, unmodified “D35382 6 SA” marked operating rod, stamped short fork follower rod, “12” follower, and “D28287- 12SA/B4A” bolt. The barrel is marked “3-S-A-11-42” on the right under the operating rod, with bright chamber. The trigger housing is marked “D28290-8- SA,” with a “C46008-3 SA” hammer, “C46015-9SA” safety, and unmarked milled trigger guard. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock bearing a boxed “S.A./E. McF.” (Col. Earl McFarland) inspection cartouche, small “keyhole” proof, and “crossed cannons” ordnance wheel stamped on the left of the wrist, with a circled serif “P” firing proof on the underside. Includes a steel hooked Model 1907 sling marked “MILSCO/1943” on both straps.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original parkerized finish with crisp roll marks, minor edge wear, limited spotting, and dried grease. The re-oiled stock is exceptionally fine with clear and detailed cartouches, limited minor scrapes, and minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Grouping of Reconnaissance/Paratrooper Themed Patches and Pin - Grouping includes four “SPECIAL RECON. BN” rocker patches (two embroidered, two bullion embroidered, one of the embroidered patches is tagged as German in origin, and one of the bullion as Italian), a hand-made 48-star American flag patch with orange rayon backing (noted as being Albanian made for an OSS man using parachute material), three jump wing patches (including one with Cross of Lorraine motif attributed as a gift from the Free French to an American with Operation Jedburgh), and a small enamel pin from the GQ Parachute Company. CONDITION: Very good overall, with mild stains and handling marks. The GQ pin is slightly bent.
