LOT 3378
Police Ordnance Ingram M6 Police Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable
Machine Gun, with Case and Accessories - Serial no. 249, 45 ACP cal., 9 1/2 inch fluted bbl.,
blue finish, walnut stock. An early design from Gordon Ingram of MAC/M10 fame, the M6 was developed in the 1940s as a tubular receiver submachine gun emulating the ergonomics and appearance of the Thompson SMG. Mechanically, the major distinction was the use of a two-stage trigger, with a gentle press producing semi-automatic fire and a full squeeze initiating full automatic fire; a conventional selector switch is also supplied on some models, like this one, that disables the full auto trigger position when engaged. Blade front and King elevation adjustable notch rear sights, with the patent, address, model and caliber markings on top of the receiver ahead of the ejector port, fluted barrel with slanted pistol grip, right handed “SAFE/AUTO/SEMI” selector, and smooth pistol grip stock.

Harrington & Richardson Model 50 Reising Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with Case and Accessories - Serial no. 2007, 45 ACP cal., 11 inch fluted bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. A closed-bolt blowback-operated submachine gun, the Reising Model 50 saw action with the U.S. Marines in
the Pacific as a substitute for the M1 Thompson, though they found their best success as defensive weapons for war-essential industries and as patrol carbines for American police forces. Blade front and elevation adjustable peep rear sights, with a flash hider/muzzle brake, cooling fins on the barrel, three-line Worcester address near the ejection port, and three-position selector/safety on the right side. What appears to be a reversed “ET” is stamped on the left side of the receiver near the edge of the wood. Smooth pistol grip
