Rare Book: “La Manufacture d’Armes de Versailles
Boutet” by Captain Maurice Bottet - This rare hardcover
French book was edited by J. Leroy Fils and published in
1903. As noted inside, only 25 copies were printed, 2 on
China and 23 on Japan. It features details on the famous
Manufacture d’Armes de Versailles and Directeur-Artiste
Boutet in 64 pages of text and includes 16 plates, 6 in color.
Many of the existing copies are contained with in institutional
libraries such as the Smithsonian. The book measures 14 5/8
inches tall by 11 inches wide and 7/8 inch thick.
CONDITION: Very good with some shelf wear, some creasing
and staining, and nice and distinct writing and images.
