The scenes depict a huntsman on horse back with his pack
of dogs running down a stag on the left and on the right
we see the hounds proudly protecting their kill awaiting
the hunter. The left scene is marked with Ridinger’s
signature at the front and signed “W. Wolf” at the bottom
rear for the engraver that cut these fantastic scenes. The
gun features double triggers (front articulated), cocking
indicators, and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is
fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered
three-piece forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip
stock with black grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and factory buttplate. Barrel and stock
measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed and measured at 18.4mm
(.724 inches); choke constriction .030/.045 inches; minimum wall thickness .030/.030 inches; 1 9/16 inch
drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence and sharp
checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. A fantastic chance to own a genuinely
gorgeous piece of German firearms art!

Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no.
92013, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued
Spezial Laufstahl barrels featuring a single
bead sight on the matted flat solid rib, Merkel
marking on the left of the chamber, scroll
engraving at the breech, front sling swivel,
1983 dated German proof marks, and 2 3/4
inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The
barrels are fitted to the coin finished sidelock
action which displays deeply engraved fences
and scroll engraving surrounding a pair of
game scenes modeled after paintings by
Johann Elias Ridinger (Germany, 1698-1767).
