CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with the balance thinning
to a brown patina. The dust cover retains 85% thinned original blue finish. 90% original nitre
blue remains on the loading gate. 95% plus vivid original case colors remain on the receiver.
Nearly 95% original case colors remain on the forend cap, hammer, lever and buttplate. The
deluxe wood is also excellent with minor dings and scratches and crisp checkering overall.
Mechanically excellent. A strikingly handsome special order deluxe Model 1873 rifle that will be
a welcome addition to even the most advanced Winchester collections.
