The revolver features a German silver blade front
sight, the one-line “-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-
YORK CITY-” marking on top of the barrel reading
from the muzzle towards the breech, the Texas
Rangers and Comanche fight scene on the cylinder
along with “MODEL U.S.M.R.” and “COLT’S PATENT”,
“COLTS/PATENT/U.S.” on the left side of the frame,
“V” and “G” on the left side of the trigger guard, the
matching serial number on the various components,
and “K” on the upper left of the grip and on the right
side of the hammer, back strap, and trigger guard.
The revovler comes in a fitted mahogany case
with rose colored velvet lining, wrapped Eley Bros.
cap tin, martial pattern powder flask with slanted
charger, L-shaped combination tool, brass ball/
bullet mold, and balls and bullets.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with 90% plus original
blue finish on the barrel, 60% original blue finish
and a distinct roll scene on the cylinder, 95% plus
soft original case colors, 98% plus of the original
silver plating, and minimal age and handling related
wear. The grip is also excellent and has nearly all of
the original high gloss varnish finish, minor scatches
and dings, and slight edge wear. Mechanically
excellent. The case is very fine and has mild age and
storage related wear. The accessories are also very
fine and have minimal wear.
