ATF Exempted C&R Siamese Contract
Krupp Model 1906 Mountain Howitzer
with Carriage - NSN, 50 mm , 24 3/4 inch
round bbl., blue finish. This mountain
howitzer was manufactured circa 1906
by Krupp of Germany on contract with
Siam and is chambered for use with 50
mm centerfire ammunition. These were
designed to be easily disassembled by
hand in order to allow it to be transported
in rough terrain by mules, elephants, or soldiers. “FRIED. KRUPP. A.G.” above “ESSEN” and
Siamese markings are located on the rear face of the howitzer. A brass plate that reads
“FRIED. KRUPP/A.G./ESSEN A/R.Nr.19” in three lines is attached to the steel carriage. Siamese
markings on various components.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% original blue finish with areas thinning to a brown and
scattered patches of light pitting. The wood breech lever handle has cracks and absent
sections. Mechanically fine. Carriage is also fine, retains most of the applied paint. This
weapon has been excluded from provisions of the National Firearms Act as listed in ATF P
5300.11, and is considered a “Curio & Relic Other” firearm.
