Auto-Ordnance/West Hurley Model 1928 Thompson Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun with Case, 100-Round Drum and Accessories - Serial no.
257TF, 45 ACP cal., 10 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured by the Auto-Ordnance Corporation of West Hurley, New York, circa 1980. These were all new production
weapons with new manufactured parts and assemblies, modeled after the original
Thompson patterns. Blade and folding ladder sights, with the Thompson-marked
Cutts compensator and cooling fins on the barrel, a 1928 pattern bolt assembly
(sans oiler),”QF” stamped on interior of the receiver, dual pistol grips and a quick
detachable buttstock. Included with the item is a leatherette transport case,
thirteen stick magazines, one Type “L” 50-round drum, one Type “C” 100-round
drum, and an extra horizontal forearm.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing some light
wear and handling marks overall. The wood is fine, with mild dents and scuffs. The
internals show mild wear and pitting which do not affect function. Mechanically
excellent. The case is fine, with mild wear. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms
Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter
44 and 27 CFR part 479.
