Factory Master Ferruccio Iora Signed and
Engraved Fabbri Tipo Piccione Extra Sidelock
Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Set -
Serial no. 3013, 12 gauge, 28 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, walnut stock. Ivo Fabbri got his start in firearms along side one of the
most well-known names in the business, Daniele Perazzi. After they split, Perazzi went on
to create arguably the world’s finest sporting guns, and Fabbri perused his dream to build
the finest guns in the world, with this gun being true to that end. Fabbri only builds some
30 guns a year, each is hand crafted from the ground up by some of Italy’s finest craftsmen.
Built with blued steel chopperlump barrels featuring an orange fiber optic front sight on
the matted concave vent rib which is marked with a gold “1” at the base, “-ARMI-FABBRI-
BRESCIA-” and “ACCIAIO PHONIX” marked on the left and right tubes respectively, bands of
engraving at the breech, 1965 dated Italian proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic
ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened self-opening hand detachable sidelock
action which displays highly attractive extensive scroll engraving with interspersed ribbons
and bouquets all surrounding bright action pins, a banners on either lockplate reading “ARMI
FABBRI BRESCIA”, and a relief gold inlaid pigeon on the underside. The scrollwork the extends
onto the triggerguard, toplever, and the upper and lower tang where it surrounds the serial
number. The engraving is signed on the triggerplate “INC. F.IORA” for renowned Italian Master
Engraver Ferruccio Iora who executed the work. The gun features a single non-selective trigger,
bright cocking indicators, and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with a highly-
figured and multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved blued fittings as well as a
straight grip stock with a Pachmayr Old English
recoil pad. Included is a second matching
numbered 29 7/8 inch barrel set with a gold “2”
at the base of the rib and matching engraving.
Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L):
bore diameter nine inches from the breech
.725/.725 inches; choke constriction .031/.039
inches; minimum wall thickness .026/.024 inches.
Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine
inches from the breech .729/.730 inches; choke constriction .019/.034 inches; minimum wall
thickness .022/.021 inches; 1 3/16 inch drop at comb; 1 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length

CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 97% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with minor
handling evidence and some very minor spotting on the barrels. There is a chip at the left side of
the forend and some plugs in the burl near the toe; otherwise, the wood is very fine with a few
scratches and marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrels are excellent.
A great chance to own a classic Italian shotgun!
