Gorgeous Factory Maximo Gobbi Signed, Engraved, and Gold
Inlaid Perazzi DC-12 Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Set with
Case - Serial no. 40193, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin/gold
finish, walnut stock. Perazzi is a name synonymous with quality, building
some of the finest guns in the world for over 50 years, and this gun
definitely lives up to their reputation! Built with blued steel barrels featuring
an orange blade style front sight and a white mid-bead on the matted concave solid rib, factory marking at the left chamber, 1970 dated Italian proof marks
on the flats, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a highly attractive coin finished boxlock action which displays deeply
cut floral scroll engraving over a matted background with interspersed gold dots at the center of some of the flowers in the scroll. The engraving incorporates
a beautiful nude woman on the underside of the action standing amongst the vines. The gold and scrollwork flow off of the action and continue onto the
triggerguard, toplever, and the upper tang completing the look of this exceptional gun. The engraving is signed to the right of the trigger “M. Gobbi” for Italian
Master Engraver Maximo Gobbi, father of contemporary engraver Massimiliano “Max” Gobbi, a master in his own right. The gun features a single non-selective
gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety with hand cut “S” indicator. The gun is fitted with a gorgeous highly figured and multi-point checkered beavertail
forend with matching engraved shoe, Anson button release, and a gold coronet inlaid into the wood as well as a pistol grip stock with matching engraved grip cap and
a Kick-Eez recoil pad. Included is a second matching numbered 28 inch barrel set with a “2” marked on the barrel lug and 2 3/4 inch chambers. Also included is a Perazzi takedown case that houses
