Decorative Engraved
Metal Stocked
Wheellock - NSN, 64 cal., 27 inch round bbl., bright
finish, metal stock. This gun was likely made in the late 19th
century as a decorative piece, and it was not intended to be
fireable as demonstrated by a screw into the bore. The smoothbore
barrel has a stylized fowl shaped tube sight at the breech. The
lock and stock feature foliate engraving. The butt features red felt
providing contrast.
CONDITION: Good with silver-gray patina, mild pitting, and general
mild overall wear. The lock has not been tested.

Ornate Inlaid German Round Powder
Flask - The consignor dated this rare early
powder flask to c. 1600. It features a flat back with
swirl designs at the center and circles and dots
of varying sized. The outer face is rounded and
features a satyr mask towards the center and
numerous circle and dots of varying colors. The
band and spout are iron.
CONDITION: Very good with untouched dark
brown patina visible on the iron, an absent ring/
screw from the band, minor chips, faint cracks, and
moderate age and storage related wear.

Small Scale Wheellock Sporting Gun with
Scrimshaw Inlays - NSN, 45 cal., 25 inch part octagon
bbl., bright finish, wood stock. The smoothbore barrel
has an “E” and an “eagle” stamped ahead of the notch
rear sight on the ribbed breech section. The lock has
another small “E” mark below the safety, an external
wheel, and brass accented wheel cover. The stock has
staghorn/bone inlays with scrimshaw designs, including deer, masks, and stars.
CONDITION: Fine overall with silver gray patina, minor oxidation/pitting, and general mild age and storage related wear. The stock is also fine and has
repairs visible at the toe, a crack at the breech on the left, some small chips, and mild overall wear. Not mechanically tested.
