Cased London Agency Colt Third Model “Thuer” Derringer with Rare
“Unauthorized” Address and Von Oppen Marking - Serial no. 7403, 41 RF cal.,
2 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, rosewood grips. These derringers were
introduced in 1870, produced until 1912, and totaled around 48,000 manufactured.
The top of the barrel has a rounded blade front sight and “COLT” in large italic
letters and the bottom of the barrel has small British proofs. This early 20th century
example has the desirable “illegal”/”unauthorized” Colt Pall Mall address on the
left side of the frame along with the circled Von Oppen retailer marking. The
caliber marking is on the right of the frame. It has standard features and is fitted
with a pair of smooth rosewood grips. Includes an oak presentation case with Colt
London Agency label inside the lid, key, and .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% of the original blue finish
with the balance thinned to a smooth grey
patina and 90% plus of the toned silver
finish, showing an attractively
aged patina. The grips are also
fine with some scattered light
handling marks. Mechanically
excellent. The case is very
good with some light
handling/storage wear.

Scarce and Desirable Factory Engraved Colt House Model “Cloverleaf” Spur Trigger
Revolver - Serial no. 1693, 41 RF cal., 3 inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1871, this is one of around 7,500 of the “Cloverleaf” type with their
distinctive four-shot cylinders, with many less than that being factory engraved. The side of
the frame, trigger spur, and top of the back strap all have flourishes of factory floral scroll
engraving. The standard two-line address is on top of the barrel flanked by Maltese crosses.
The matching serial number is on the bottom of the barrel, the butt, and hand marked
inside both grip panels.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish and faint traces of the original
silver with the balance either a smooth grey patina or attractively aged brass and a series of
repetitive dents visible on one chamber of the cylinder. The grips are very fine with most of
the original varnish and a few scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional Colt New Line 30 Etched Panel
Single Action Revolver - Serial no. 6295, 30 RF cal.,
2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
walnut grips. This Colt New Line was manufactured
in 1875, the second year of production. Standard
two-line address flanked by crosses on top of barrel,
with the acid etched “COLT NEW 30” panel on the left
side. Casehardened frame, blue barrel and cylinder.
Scarce “30 CAL” marked on the right upper frame
just behind the recoil shield. Smooth varnished
bird’s head grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% of the
bright original high polish blue finish with
small scattered areas of brown patina, along
with some light spotting and handling
marks overall. 80% of the bright, vivid case
colors remain on the frame, with silvering
on the edges, top strap and back strap. Grips
are also excellent with nearly all of the original
varnish remaining and some scattered light handling
marks. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent Colt Acid Etched Panel New Line .32
Spur Trigger Revolver with Inscribed Pearl Grips
and Very Scarce Factory Box - Serial no. 13580,
32 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, pearl
grips. Manufactured in 1877, this is an outstanding
example of Colt’s New Line .32 revolver. The top
of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line
address, the patent marking is on the bottom, and
the left has the desirable acid etched panel marked
“COLT NEW 32”. The left of the frame is marked
“32CAL” and the matching serial number is on the
bottom of the barrel and the left of the grip frame.
It has blade front and frame-top groove rear sights.
It is fitted with a pair of smooth pearl grips, the left
panel being inscribed “W.C.G./from/S.M.S./1875”,
the identities of which are unclear. Included
with the revolver is a correct factory box.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus
of the original nickel finish with a few
scattered light handling marks, a few
small patches of light spotting/flaking on
the right, and a crisp acid etched panel.
The grips are very fine with a light chip at
the top of the right panel and otherwise
a few light handling marks. Mechanically
excellent. The box is good with moderate
handling/storage wear, patches of external
material loss, and some staining.
