Mark I Semi-Automatic
Pistol with Factory Letter -
Serial no. 305682, 22 LR cal., 6 7/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips.
Manufactured in 1963. Features fixed blade front and adjustable notch rear
sights, “U.S.” stamped on top of the chamber, the caliber and model designation
on the left side of the receiver, along with the serial number and Ruger address
marked on the right side. Fitted with a blued magazine with silvered base. Includes a
factory letter identifying the pistol as shipped to a U.S. government facility in June of
1963, with the letter stating that no other information is available.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with
some minor edge wear, a few minor scattered specs of visible
spotting/freckling, and a few minor handling marks. The grips are
very fine with some light handling wear in the otherwise crisp
checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Tournament Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 994407, 22 LR
cal., 6 3/4 inch round bbl., matte gray finish, plastic grips. Manufactured
1958. Ramp blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, with the Hamden
address on the barrel, “MODEL 102” and matching serial number on the
slide, and “SUPERMATIC/TOURNAMENT/U.S.”
on the frame. Fitted with a set of checkered
ambidextrous grips with High
Standard medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the original
matte black phosphate finish, showing light
rubbing and handling marks overall, and some
bright wear on the edges and serrations. The
follower is stiff and the magazine is tight inside
the well, otherwise mechanically fine.

Ordnance cartouche, with the standard markings on the
frame and slide, and a set of “HS” marked checkered grips.
Included with the lot is a black cardboard box, with a black-
on-red High Standard Model B label on the lid (with an
added, non-matching number and an ink stamped crossed
cannons cartouche with “HARTFORD ORDNANCE DISTRICT
U.S. ARMY” on the belt), and a black-on-red instruction card.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 97% plus original blue finish, showing minor edge wear and handling marks.
The grips are very good, with some dings on the checkering and tool marks on the screws. Mechanically
excellent. The box is fair, with some scuffing and stains on the label and wear and tear
concentrated on the edges.

Exceptional World War II U.S. Colt Model
1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. 874893, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl.,
parkerized/blue finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1943. Features fixed
sights, a blued barrel marked “COLT 45 AUTO” on the left side with “P” on the
recoil lug, two-line Colt patent dates and address surrounding a Rampant Colt
on the left of the slide, “P” on top of the slide, matching “874/893” serial number
stamped behind the firing pin stop, along with a checkered thumb safety, slide catch, wide
spur hammer, short milled trigger, and arched mainspring housing. The left of the frame bears
a “G.H.D.” (Brig. Gen. Guy H. Drewry) inspector mark and a “P” stamp, along with the U.S. property
marking, serial number, model designation, and a “ordnance wheel” acceptance stamp on the right
side. The left of the trigger guard is stamped with “P” over “triangle/VP”, along with “74” stamped on
the right side. Fitted with a pair of brown checkered plastic “Coltwood” grips and an
unmarked full-blue magazine.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% original
parkerized finish and 95% plus original blue finish on the
barrel with some minor cycling wear, some minor edge
wear, some minor thinning on the grip straps with some
brown patina, a few minor patches of pitting, and some
minor handling marks. The grips are very fine with some
minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Pistol - Serial no. 2351117,
45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl.,
parkerized/blue finish, plastic grips. Manufactured c. mid
1945, as one of the last U.S. Colt M1911A1 pistols marked with
Brig. Gen. Guy H. Drewry’s “G.H.D.” inspection stamp on the
frame. The table on page 404 of “Colt .45 Service Pistols” (1991
publication) by Charles W. Clawson shows this pistol falling within the ranges
of shipments sent to the U.S. Springfield Armory between July 9 and August
10, 1945. Features fixed sights, a blued barrel marked “COLT 45 AUTO” on the left
of the chamber and “P” on the left of the recoil lug, standard two-line, two-block
address and patent dates surrounding a Rampant Colt on the left of the slide with
“P” stamped on top, along with a checkered thumb safety, replacement slide stop,
narrow spur hammer, short stamped
trigger, and a seven-rib serrated arched
mainspring housing. The left of the frame
bears the “G.H.D.” inspector and “P” stamp.
The right side bears the U.S. property
marking, model designation, serial
number, and “ordnance wheel” acceptance
stamp. The left of the trigger guard is
marked with “V” over “triangle/VP”, with
“56” marked on the right side. Fitted with
a pair of brown checkered plastic ‘Coltwood’ grips and a replacement two-tone blued magazine marked
“R” on the toe.
CONDITION: Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining 95% arsenal parkerizing on the frame and slide,
along with 97% blue finish on the barrel with some minor cycling wear, some light handling marks visible
under the finish, some softened markings, some minor edge wear, and some minor handling marks. The
grips are also very fine with a few light handling marks in the otherwise crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.
