LOT 1364
Qualified Manufacturing Auto Sear in a Heckler &
Koch SP89 Host, Class III/NFA -A) Qualified Manufacturing
H&K Auto-Sear, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine
Gun - Serial no. K964, 9 mm cal.. Manufactured in Broken Arrow,
Oklahoma, this individually marked and registered auto sear is
fitted in a shelf pattern trigger pack, installed in item “B” of this
lot and configured to match the housing markings.
CONDITION: Excellent, with minor wear. Appears to be in fine
working order. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act
(NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE)
under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and
27 CFR part 479. B) Heckler & Koch SP89 Host Gun in “MP5
PDW” Configuration - Serial no. 21-15348, 9 mm cal., 4 1/2
inch round bbl., matte black finish, synthetic stock. Developed
in 1989 as a semi-automatic pistol variant of the firm’s famous
MP5K compact submachine gun, this item was later altered to
match the “MP5 PDW” (personal defense weapon) configuration
and mated with the sear pack described in “A”. Hooded post
front and four position notched drum rear sights, with the
model markings and “IK” (1989) date code on top of the receiver,
“8J IN” marked barrel, import marks on the right side of the
magazine well, and “S/E/F” selector marking. The magazine well
retains a functional paddle magazine catch, with a welded on
“shelf”, which the trigger housing has been altered to accept.
As noted, the sear pack matches the safe/semi/auto markings,
with a right handed selector and a bolt carrier modified with
a welded-up sear trip to interface with the trigger pack. Fitted
with a combination straight foregrip/hand protector, textured
pistol grip, and a side folding Choate Tool buttstock.
CONDITION: Very good as upgraded and partially refinished
to serve as a sear host, with minor handling marks overall.
The furniture is very good, with some minor scratches and
scuffs. Mechanical adjustment is needed; some play in the
trigger housing causes inconsistent engagement between the
bolt carrier and trip arm. NOTE: This item is a “host” for a NFA-
registered conversion component, and will not be separated
from that component for sale or shipment. The serial numbered
receiver of this item has not been permanently altered to accept
the conversion component, and is not called out by serial
number on the paperwork for the conversion component.
Estimate: 27,500 - 42,500
