CONDITION: Extremely fine and highly attractive. The revolver is all
original and retains 70% of the bright original high polish blue finish,
90% vivid original case colors on the hammer, strong traces of vivid
case colors showing on the cylinder, with some patches of oxidation,
a mottled silver-gray patina on the loading lever assembly, no
flash evidence on the percussion nipples, cylinder or hammer, and
sharp edges in the metal overall. The grips are excellent with crisp
checkering. Small spring catch/screw for the takedown rod included
separately (falls out). Mechanically excellent. LeMat revolvers rarely
turn up in any condition, and this exceptional example is far above
the strong majority of the limited surviving examples!
Estimate: 25,000 - 37,500
