Excellent World War II U.S. Stevens 520-30 Slide Action
Trench Shotgun with Bayonet - Serial no. 64796, 12 gauge,
20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. A reported 35,306
Stevens Model 520-30 shotguns of all types were manufactured on U.S.
contract during World War II, per page 94 of “Complete Guide to United
States Military Combat Shotguns” by Bruce Canfield. This is an excellent
example of a very desirable World War II production U.S. Army contract
Stevens Model 520-30 trench shotgun, featuring the correct
bayonet lug adapter and ventilated handguard. The right
side of the barrel has the three-line Stevens/Savage
address, and the left side has the two-line gauge
markings “PROOF TESTED-12 GAUGE/-2 3/4 INCH
CHAMBER-”. Choke gauges at cylinder. The left
side of the receiver is marked “MOD. 520-30” and
“U.S.”, and it has the correct “P” above Ordnance
bomb proof stamps on the barrel and left front
edge of the receiver. It has an all blue finish with
smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with a black
plastic buttplate. The stock and bayonet lug are
correctly fitted with sling swivels. Length of pull is
14 inches. Includes a “1917” dated U.S. Remington
M1917 bayonet with a green leather scabbard.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% original blue finish with light cycling wear, a few
small patches of minor surface freckling, with sharp edges and markings in the metal.
Wood is also excellent with defined edges, some light handling marks, and rich oil
finish. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet and scabbard are both very fine.

Very Scarce U.S. Springfield Armory “X Prefix” M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle,
Milestone Serial Number “X6000005” - Serial no. X6000005, 30-06 cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured after World War II, this rifle bears an “X” serial number prefix, denoting an accidentally duplicated serial number.
Many of these “X” rifles were produced at the tail end of M1 Garand production, essentially a “clean-up” phase before fully transitioning to making
the M14 rifle. Blade front sight and “NM/595” rear sight with fixed peep, “NM BME” windage knob and “WC E” elevation knob. Fitted with a Line Machine “7
53” barrel, Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, and relief-cut operating rod. The stock is glass bedded, with “2699” marked in white in the operating
rod channel and stamped on the right side of the buttstock, “P” and “eagle” stamps, and a checkered steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 90% of the parkerized finish, showing some mild handling marks and cycling wear overall. The gas cylinder shows 70% flaking
black enamel finish. The stock is very good, with mild wear, dings and scuffs overall. The rear band is dented, and the surrounding wood shows some
cracking and chipping. Mechanically excellent.
