Colt Etched Panel New House
Revolver with Highly Desirable
Cop & Thug Grips - Serial no. 20695,
38 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, hard rubber grips. The
serial number date to 1885 in the
New House range. The barrel has “COLT
HOUSE 38” etched on the left and a round blade
front sight and the two-line address on the top. The barrel
and cylinder are marked with London proof marks. Matching
serial numbers are found on the cylinder, butt, and the right
grip. The hard rubber grips are embossed with “COLT’ as well
as cop and thug scene.
CONDITION: Fine with 60% original blue finish, smooth
grey and brown patina on the balance, legible etched
panel and mild wear. The grips are very fine with
aged brown coloration, mostly crisp checkering and
markings, and handling wear. Mechanically excellent.

Fine, Early Production, Two-Digit Serial Number 28 Colt New
Line .32 Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 28, 32 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch
round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured
in 1873, the first year of production, this is a fine example of one
of Colt’s New Line revolvers that was made very shortly after
production commenced. These revolvers were introduced in 1873
alongside Colt’s legendary Single Action Army Revolver, with the
intention that they would be a pocket sized companion for the new
full-sized belt revolver. This example is marked with the two-line
address on top of the barrel, and the matchings two-digit serial
number is marked on the butt on the left of the barrel. The inside
of the right grip panel is lightly scratched with “J. RYDER”. It is fitted
with a German silver blade front sight, frame-top groove rear sight,
and a pair of smooth rosewood grips.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% of the original blue finish and 80% of
the vibrant original case colors with the balance having thinned to
a smooth brown patina and a small patch of oxidation on the lower
left rear of the frame. The slightly undersized grips are very fine with
a few light handling marks. Mechanically functions. An extremely
early production Colt New Line!

Colt House Model “Cloverleaf” Spur Trigger Revolver with Rare 1
1/2 Inch Barrel - Serial no. 2723, 41 RF cal., 1 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1871, this is a very fine example
of one of only approximately 7,500 of these distinct Colt revolvers that
was produced, with far fewer having the short, 1 1/2 inch barrel
like this particular example. These revolvers are sometimes
referred to as the “Jim Fisk model” due to one being
famously used in the high-profile murder of the New York
financier and playboy by that name. This example is is
correctly marked with “COLT” on the left of the “snub-
nosed” barrel. The matching serial number is marked
on the butt, the bottom of the barrel, and in ink
inside both grip panels. It is fitted with the high
spur hammer, combination cylinder pin/ejector
rod, blade front sight, frame-top groove rear
sight, and a pair of smooth walnut grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the
original, untouched nickel finish with a few small
patches of flaking, primarily at the muzzle and on
the cylinder, and a patch of light pitting on one
chamber. The grips are also fine with some light
handling marks and retaining most of the original
varnish. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent London Agency Cased First Year Production
Colt Open Top Pocket Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no.
730, 22 RF cal., 2 7/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, rosewood
grips. Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production, this is
an excellent example of a Colt Open Top Pocket revolver. The
presence of British proofs on the cylinder and barrel, as well as the
included London Agency labeled oak case indicate this revolver
shipped to Britain. It has the standard Colt markings along with
the British proofs, and the matching serial number is on the butt,
bottom of the barrel, and inside both grip panels in ink. The back
strap is non-factory stamped “K 66”. It has standard features and is
fitted with a pair of smooth rosewood grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel
finish and 80% of the original nitre blue on small
parts with some scattered very light handling
marks and scratches. The grips are very fine
with some reapplied varnish and a few
light handling marks. Mechanically
excellent. The case is fine with some
light handling/storage marks and
missing compartment knob.
