Attractive Factory Engraved Colt Open Top
Pocket Revolver with Ivory Grips - Serial no. 49346,
22 RF cal., 2 3/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, ivory grips.
Manufactured in 1875, this is a very attractive example of a
factory engraved Colt Open Top Pocket revolver. The sides
of the frame, back strap, cylinder, and breech of the barrel
all have elegant, serpentine flourishes of factory floral scroll engraving. The
top of the barrel has the standard two-line address, while the caliber marking is
on the left of the frame. The serial number is marked on the butt and matching
last two-digits are on the bottom of the barrel lug and rear face of the cylinder.
The German silver blade front sight was refitted during the period of use and
is currently backwards, it has a hammer notch rear sight, and is fitted with an
attractive pair of smooth ivory grips.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 75% plus of the original nickel finish with some
scattered mild flaking, a few patches of light pitting, and crisp engraving overall.
The grips are also fine with some hairline age cracks and an attractively aged tone.
Mechanically excellent.

London Agency Shipped Colt New
Line .32 Spur Trigger Revolver with
Rare Documented 6 Inch Barrel and
Factory Letter - Serial no. 17707, 32 CF
cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard
rubber grips. Manufactured in 1886,
this is a very scarce example of a special
ordered Colt New Line .32 revolver that
was shipped to Colt’s London Agency
as a single gun shipment. The included
factory letter lists the revolver in .32
centerfire caliber with a 6 inch barrel
and nickel finish when shipped to Colt’s
London Agency on 6 March 1886. There
are British proofs on the cylinder and
bottom of the barrel. The top of the
barrel has the two-line address which
included both Hartford and London, and
the serial number is marked on the butt.
It is fitted with the standard blade front and frame-top
groove rear sights, as well as a pair of checkered hard
rubber grips with “COLT” at the tops.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 75% plus of the period British
retailer applied blue finish with some scattered light
pitting and some areas having thinned to show a grey
patina. The grips are very fine with only the slightest
handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically
excellent. A special ordered Colt New Line .32 revolver
with scarce 6 inch barrel!

Highly Attractive British Proofed Colt Etched Panel New Line .38 Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 9191, 38 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, rosewood
grips. Manufactured in 1879, this is a very fine example of Colt’s New Line pocket revolver chambered in .38 centerfire that once made its way to Britain. These revolvers were intended,
in part, to be a pocket sized version of the full-sized Colt Single Action Army, which was introduced at the same time, and would have been a popular, concealed sidearm in the urban
environments of 19th century Britain. The top of the barrel has the two-line address, while the model and caliber marking is in the acid etched panel on the left. The matching serial
number is marked on the left of the grip frame and bottom of the barrel along with the patent date. The left of the frame is marked “38CAL C”. The assembly number “623” is on the
right of the grip frame and front face of the loading gate. There are British proofs on the barrel and cylinder. It has standard features including a pair of smooth rosewood grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish and 80% plus
of the vibrant original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly
a smooth grey patina and a few scattered small patches of light surface
spotting. The grips are also very fine with a minor chip absent from the top
of the left panel and otherwise light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

New York Engraved Colt Etched Panel New Line .22 Spur Trigger Revolver
with Pearl Grips and Case - Serial no. 42289, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch slab sided
bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. Manufactured in 1876, this is an attractive, New York
engraved example of Colt’s New Line .22 revolver. The engraving features flourishes
of floral scroll on the frame and zig-zag line a punchdot accents throughout. The
top of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line address while the left has
“COLT NEW 22” in an acid etched panel. The caliber marking is on the left of the
frame. The patent marking is on the bottom of the barrel and the serial number is
on the butt. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of smooth pearl grips.
Includes a hardwood case.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% plus of the period applied nickel finish with
some mild handling wear showing some attractively aged brass and crisp engraving
overall. The grips are very fine with a few very light handling marks. Mechanically
excellent. The case is good with a couple minor cracks in the lid and otherwise
minimal handling marks.
