Factory Engraved Franz Sodia Combination Gun with Two Extra Shotgun Barrels and Swarovski Scope - Serial no. 35, 16/7x57 R cal., 23 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and folding leaf rear notch sights on a matte rib. Shotgun/rifle barrel numbered to the gun features a 2 9/16 inch chamber and full choke. The “FRANZ SODIA FERLACH” marked rib is fitted with claw style scope bases. Includes a Swarovski 1.5x20 scope. The receiver features an oak leaf and game scene engraving, cocking indicators, tang safety and double triggers with set rifle trigger. Highly figured checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with plastic grip cap and buttplate, cheekpiece and initial oval with monogram. The stock dimensions are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 13 7/8 inches. The two extra shotgun barrel sets have vent ribs, checkered forearms and single bead front sights. The .410 barrel (25 3/4 inches) is numbered to the gun and has 3 inch chambers and full/full chokes. The 28 gauge barrel (25 3/4 inches) has 2 3/4 inch chambers and improved cylinder/full chokes. The customized Browning takedown case holds the three barrel sets and the scope. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrels retain 98% plus original blue finish showing mild muzzle wear. 95% of the original coin finish remains with bright gray on the trigger guard tang. The wood is very good with a hairline crack on the stock flats, a missing chip and hairline crack near the upper tang with some excess glue and some very scattered minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent. The scope has clear optics. The extra barrel sets retain 98% original blue finish with the 28 gauge barrel showing more wear and some minor scratches, and the forearms are fine to very good showing some minor handling marks and blemishes in the checkering. The modified case is very good with a tear in the lining. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Pre-World War II German Factory Engraved Emil Martin Stangensicherung Drilling - Serial no. 5497, 16x8x57 mm gauge, 23 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Marked “EMIL R. MARTIN & SOHN, BONN RH” on the top of the solid rib with “KRUFF-LAUFSTAHL” marked on the underside of each barrel. The underside of the rifle barrel is also marked with the Crown/N proof mark followed by “Stm/ gr” over three proof markings. The solid matted rib is fitted with front blade and fold down rear sights and has claw mount bases.
The shotgun barrels have a line of floral engravings near the receiver. 16 gauge shotgun with 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked cylinder/cylinder
and 8x57 JR (.318) rifle, with extractors. Satin frame with floral engravings and hunting scenes on both sides of the frame. The hunting scene on the left shows three running deer and the
right shows a running deer and a dog retrieving a grouse. The floral engravings continue on the underside of the frame with the model and maker address in a three-line banner. The banners are flanked by two floral engraving inserts. Additional floral engravings are on the forearm release. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with right handed cheekpiece and fitted with a horn basket weave
buttplate. Single set trigger rifle, horn trigger guard and brown leather braided sling.
CONDITION: Excellent with 97% of original blue finish remaining some minor scratches and the slightest fading on the barrel. The stock is also excellent with some minor scratches and some minor nicks. The engravings and
markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250
LOT 3446 Factory Game Scene Engraved J. P. Sauer & Sohn Drilling - Serial no. 218586, 12x12x30-30 gauge, 27 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp steel barrels with beaded blade front and two leaf folding rear sights with gold center lines on the matted, solid rib which is marked “12 x 30 WINCH.94.”, both shotgun barrels marked “J. P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL.”, and 2 1/2 inch chambers with single extractor. The casehardened sideclipped sidelock action feature a pair of roe deer on the left, a fox and two hares on the right, light scrollwork, bushed firing pins, manual cocking lever for the rifle barrel, double triggers, and tang mounted safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved
fittings including the Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with steel grip cap, cheekpiece, blank inscription oval, and serrated horn buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop
at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 6 oz.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 90% reapplied blue over areas of pitting, silvered patina on the locks and action with some oil staining, and moderate handling evidence. The revarnished wood is also very good with scattered light handling evidence, and worn but well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250

Factory Engraved Pre-World War II F.W. Heym Over/Under Combination Gun - Serial no. 5867AH, 20/7.5mm cal., 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Raised bead front and folding single leaf rear sights on the matte rib, with “FR. WILH. HEYM” on the right side of the top barrel and “SUHL - GERMANY (eagle) Nitro” proof marks on the upper left. The barrels, trigger guard and break lever, and casehardened action, side plates and forearm hardware. The side plates and action are engraved with fine scroll patterns and the bottom of the action is marked “FR. WILH. HEYM/SUHL - GERMANY”. The same pattern extends to the break lever and trigger guard with geometric patterns on the lugs.
The forearm hardware is engraved with simple scroll and scallop border designs. There are various German pre-war proofs on the bottom of the barrels and the action, forearm
and barrels have matching numbers. The shotgun barrel is 20 gauge, chambered 3”, choked improved modified with an extractor. Double triggers, cross bolt, automatic tang mounted safety and mounted with a checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap, finely checkered steel buttplate with compartment and a German silver initial oval engraved “FMG”.
CONDITION: Fine. The barrels retain 97% original finish with a few small areas of minor spotting and some thinning on the muzzles. The trigger guard and break lever retain almost all of the original blue with some thinning on the trigger guard and edge wear on both. The side plates show some strong faded original case colors with the balance and the action having a smooth silver gray. The wood is fine as
refinished with a few minor dings and dents, and some minor bruising in the otherwise freshened checkering. Clear markings and engraving. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250
