World War II U.S. Remington Model 1903A4 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with a Weaver 330/M73B1 Scope - Serial no. 4994616, 30-06 cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1943, as part of a special run of 1903A4 receivers destined for use as a dedicated sniper rifle. The original sights are properly absent, with a Remington “12-43” barrel, “R” marked bolt with properly turned and contoured handle, and the properly offset manufacturer, model and serial number markings on the receiver ring. A
parkerized Redfield scope base is mounted to the receiver, and the included Weaver 330 scope is marked with electric pencil
“TELESCOPE M73B1/SERIAL NO. 5606” on the lower right side. The base screws have been restaked. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled block “P” on the wrist, faint “FJA” on the left side with “RIA/EB” further back, with a flat checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with 97% plus parkerized finish, with mild rubbing on the barrel and floorplate, and light handling marks overall. The stock is fine, with light dents and scuffs. The very fine parkerized scope body is also very fine and shows some light wear, with the optics a bit hazy but generally fine with a solid reticle. Exceptional U.S. Springfield M1 Garand Type II 7.62mm National Match Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 671222, 7.62 mm Nato (308) cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Manufactured originally as a standard issue M1 in June of 1942, this rifle was subsequently selected for upgrade to a Type II National Match rifle. Blade and peep sights, with the former unmarked and the latter marked “NM” on the staff, “NM/2A” on the right ear, “595” on
the peep hood, and “NM BME” on the windage drum. The top of the operating rod is marked “NM”, with a Springfield bolt and “3 66” dated barrel with “P”, “M”, “7.62 MM” and “DoD Eagle” stamps., and a relief cut “RA” operating rod. The stock is glass bedded and unmarked, with a checkered steel buttplate. A small yellow tag, possibly from Camp Perry, Ohio, is wrapped around the trigger guard. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as armorer/arsenal National Match upgraded, with 97% plus parkerized finish, with some cycling wear on the receiver, mild edge wear and light handling marks. Some shallow pitting is present on the edges of the receiver heel. The fit of the trigger housing assembly is extremely tight, preventing inspection of internal components, and suggesting that the rifle has been apart little, if any, since it was upgraded. Winchester M1D Sniper Rifle with M84 Scope and Mount - Serial no. 1342188, 30-06 cal., 24 inch bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Originally produced in May 1943 and subsequently arsenal upgraded to the M1D Sniper configuration by Tooele Army Depot in 1969. A procedure more typically performed on Springfield-made M1 receivers vs. Winchester receivers, rifles so converted were used as sniper weapons during Korea and the Vietnam War. The receiver leg is etched “TE/4-69”, and it has the standard blade front and peep rear sights, “DRC” marked windage drum, Springfield bolt, relief cut operating rod and “S-A-2-52” dated barrel, and a complete Springfield Armory trigger assembly with a milled Winchester trigger guard. The stock has a circled “P” on the wrist and a “MRT/2 52” marked leather cheekpiece (no screws), green canvas sling and a checkered steel buttplate. The reproduction M84 scope is serial numbered “8143” on the M84 data plate, with a metal sun shield and a rubber eyepiece. Also included with the rifle is a T-37 prong type flash hider. Possibly a CMP sale rifle; however, no paperwork is included. CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded to M1D specification with 98% of the light gray arsenal type reparkerized finish showing only minor edge wear from minor hand cycling. The stock and hand guards are all in fine condition with no visible handling marks after being arsenal refurbished. The scope retains 99% of its current blue finish, and the optics are clear and sharp. Provenance: The George Moller Collection. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
 Pre-Pearl Harbor U.S. Springfield M1 Garand Semi- Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 314814, 30-06 cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. This is a solid representative example of an obviously battle used World War II M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle. Manufactured in August of 1941, Garands that were in the U.S. inventory before America’s formal entry into World War II are often difficult to find in any condition, having seen hard use in one of the most critical conflicts in the history of the nation and the world. Blade front and peep rear sights, with a protective cover on the set screw of the former and a set of early pattern adjustment drums (“BATTLE RANGE” windage and “LEFT/LEFT” elevation with closed arrows) on the latter. Fitted with a “S-A 8-41” barrel, “SA” bolt, trigger guard, trigger housing, hammer, safety and uncut operating rod. The stock has no visible markings and a checkered steel buttplate with cleaning kit CONDITION: Very good, retains 30% of the original parkerized finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina. The heavily worn stock is good with some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout and a series of nail-type holes in the right near the wrist. Mechanically excellent. If this M1 Garand could talk, what a story it could tell! Provenance: The Allan Cors Collection.
