Excellent Pre-World War II Colt
Super Match .38 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 30790, 38 super auto cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1934, these Super

1913 Production Colt Government Model Semi- Automatic Pistol - Serial no. C3894, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1913,
the second year of production. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and “COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45” ahead of the ejection port. Marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL” ahead of the serial number on the right side of the frame, with the “VP” Verified Proof and “2” inspection
 .38 pistols were first shown to the public at the August 1928 Camp Perry National Matches and were available for purchase by
the start of 1929. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates, while the right side bears the caliber marking along with the Rampant Colt. The serial number is on the right of the frame, and the left of the trigger guard is marked “T” over “VP”. The pistol is fitted with the desirable Swartz safety mechanism, which is complete and functional. Fitted with blade and notch rear sights, wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, checkered grips, and a full blue .38 Super Auto magazine. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original high polish blue finish with a series of moderate takedown type scratches on the left side of the slide and frame, some scattered light handling marks, and a few scattered small patches of oxidation near the rear of the slide/hammer. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,500 - 8,500
mark on the left side of the trigger guard. Outfitted with a round top rear sight, wide knurled hammer, long trigger, short grip safety, and smooth flat mainspring housing. The replacement barrel is “J” inspected on left link ear. Checkered grips with diamond panels around the screws, which have been stamped “JAM” on the left panels and “M” on the right panels, and the magazine is stamped “B” on the toe. Magazine is a military two
tone replacement.
CONDITION: Fine, with 60% plus of the original high polish blue finish, showing a few areas of brown patina on the slide and grip straps, scattered spotting of varying depth and intensity, takedown lines on the slide and scattered handling marks. The grips are very good, with some dings and wear. Mechanically excellent.
Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000

CONDITION: Very fine, retains 70% of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and in the form of holster type wear on high spots. The grips are fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.

1940 Production Colt Service Model
Ace Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
SM1368, 22 LR cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1940, the left side of
the slide is marked with the standard two-line address and patent dates, followed by the Rampant Colt, and the right
side has the standard Service Model Ace and caliber markings. The right side of the frame has the serial number with “SM” prefix and “60” on the trigger guard. The left side of the trigger guard has “T/VP”. The later replacement blued barrel is marked “COLT/CAL. .22 L.R.” on the polished chamber hood. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, short stamped

Factory Presentation Cased Pre- World War II First Year Production Colt Service Ace Conversion Kit - , 22 LR , 4 7/8 inch round bbl., blue finish. Manufactured in 1938, the introductory year for the Service
Ace Conversion. Fitted with blade
front and adjustable rear sights, with
“U95” stamped on top of the slide,
and in electric pencil on the barrel
and chamber, the two-line address
and patent marks on the left of the
slide followed by the Rampant Colt,
and the model nomenclature and
diamond logo on the right. The
extractor is absent. A two-tone Colt
Ace magazine is included, along
with a recoil spring, guide, plunger,
and slide release. Also includes an
extremely rare presentation Colt
hardwood case that holds the
conversion unit and has an empty
space fitted for a National Match or Super Match semi-automatic pistol.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with some thinning on the edges of the slide and the plunger. Apart from the extractor all components appear to be present and functional. The case is fine with some minor handling/storage marks scattered throughout.
