Marked Engraved and Gold Inlaid Joseph Lang & Son Sidelock Ejector Double Barrel Shotgun
with Case - Serial no. 15559, 12 gauge, 27 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1913 per page 123 of Nigel Brown’s “British
Gunmakers Volume One: London”. Blued steel barrels with single bead sight (broken) on the smooth, concave solid
rib, “JOSEPH LANG & SON. 102, NEW BOND STREET. LONDON” and “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Co. NEW YORK. U.S.A.” marked on the right and left
respectively, light engraving at the breeches, choke constrictions of .005/.010 inches, and “FOR 2 3/4 SHELL” marked below the forend. The casehardened sidelock action display floral scroll engraving surrounding three gold inlaid hunting dog scenes with a setter on the left, a setter and pointer on the right, and a bust of a
setter on the underside. The gun features a single trigger and tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid “SAFE”. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings, including the Anson button release, and straight grip stock with teardrop flats and Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. Includes a Joseph Lang &
Son takedown case with snap caps, oiler, and cleaning tools. Stock measurements: 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 11 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 99% of the professionally reapplied blue and casehardened finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving surrounding a gold inlaid pheasant on the left and a gold inlaid mallard on the right. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Although the engraving is unsigned, it was likely carried out by Master Engraver Roy Vail. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved coin fittings and an Anson button release as well as a straight grip stock with “DRM” in a gold inscription plate and a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine
inches from the breech both proved at 18.2 mm (.716 inches) and measured at .720/.721 inches; choke constriction .010/.025 inches; minimum wall thickness .038/.035 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent as upgraded by Roy Vail, retaining 99% blue, coin, and gold finishes with limited handling evidence. There are a few dings at the toe; otherwise, the wood is
very fine with scattered minor scratches and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Factory Engraved Winchester Parker Reproduction DHE Grade 20 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 00613, 20 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1983 and 1989 as a faithful reproduction of the beloved Parker shotgun. Single brass bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked “IMP.CYL”/”MOD”. The casehardened boxlock action shows the standard DHE Grade engraving consisting of a setter on the left, a pointer on the right, and a covey of pheasants on the underside along with “PARKER” all surrounded by floral scroll. The gun features a single selective trigger and automatic tang mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with Deeley style latch and engraved fittings and straight grip stock with teardrop carved flats, blank inscription oval, and engraved skeletonized buttplate around checkered bare butt. The gun includes a factory leather bound takedown case with canvas cover, two snap caps, cleaning rod, and a copy of an article on the Parker Reproductions. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameters measured nine inches from the breech .619/.619 inches; choke constriction .012/.018 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.030 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 10 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Engraved and Gold Inlaid Roy Vail Retailer Marked Belgian Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 71121, 12 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with single orange fiber front sight on the concave matted solid rib which is marked “ROY VAIL
WARWICK N.Y.” in gold inlay, standard Belgian proofmarks, and
