Excellent Factory Engraved Colt New Line .22 Etched Panel Revolver with Factory Box - Serial no. 36761, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch slab sided bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1876, the top of the barrel marked with the standard two-line Colt address, patent marking on the bottom, and the left of the barrel with the desirable etched panel marked “COLT NEW 22”. The left of the frame has the caliber marking and the serial number is marked on the butt. The frame, cylinder, and barrel have factory floral scroll and zig-zag line engraving. It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a scarce factory Colt box marked for “COLT’S/New Seven Shot Revolver”. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original nickel finish with some loss visible in the grooves of the engraving revealing an attractively aged brass. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically needs work. The box is very good with clear top label under added scotch tape, moderate wear and tearing, and extensive tape repair. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection. Estimate: 5,000 - 7,000

Outstanding Early Production Colt Open Top Pocket Spur Trigger Ejector Revolver with Scarce Long Barrel and Box - Serial no. 773, 22 RF cal., 2 7/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1871, the top of the scarce long barrel with ejector is marked with the standard Colt two-line address flanked by Maltese crosses. The serial number is marked on the butt, with the matching serial number “773” on the bottom of the barrel and faintly marked inside each of the grips. Includes a scarce factory box marked for “COLT’S/SEVEN SHOT PISTOL” and an informational plaque. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel finish and 90% of the original nitre blue with a few scattered small pinprick type flakes on the barrel, and some light flaking at the edges of the side plate. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light dings. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear, primarily on edges, and some mild fading.
