fitted with Winchester No. 21 silver insert front and No. 22H rear sights. The third model receiver features an integral dust cover rail and dust cover with serrations at the rear. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two-line Winchester legend ahead of the rear sight and “38 WCF” at the breech. The Winchester factory oval
proof appears on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Import marked on underside of barrel. The
cartridge elevator is marked “38 CAL.” The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. The serial number is
on the lower tang. The buttstock is fitted with a trapdoor crescent buttplate, and the butt compartment contains a three piece cleaning rod (fourth piece is absent). The forearm and straight grip stock are nickel figured plain walnut.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus bright original high polish blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance and some minor handling marks. 75% original niter blue remains on the loading gate. 60% original case colors remain on the hammer, lever and buttplate. The wood is very fine with minor dings and scratches and most of the original finish
remaining. Mechanically excellent. A solid example of “The Gun that Won the West” that will look great in any lever action or Old West collection.

It is fitted with German silver blade front sight and a No. 22B elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. The included factory letter (copy) lists
the rifle in .38-55 caliber with an octagon barrel and plain trigger when received at the warehouse on 7 July 1904 and shipped on 20 July 1904 in order number 238560.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% of the original blue finish, 80% of the original niter blue on the loading gate, and 75% plus of the vibrant original case colors with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, mostly on edges and high spots. The wood is very fine with a nice grain pattern and some scattered light
handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Truly an exceptionally fine example of a standard Winchester Model 1894 rifle in the desirable .38-55 W.C.F.!
