Excellent Colt Model 1902 Military Semi-Automatic Pistol with Very Scarce Original Factory Box - Serial no. 38999, 38 Colt auto cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1916, this Military Model of 1902 pistol exhibits the mid- production high polish blue finish and spurred hammer which was standard by approximately serial number 37000. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line patent date and two-line address arranged in two blocks with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The right side of the slide has the two-line caliber marking, “AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS”. The left side of the frame has the serial number and “VP” and “1” on the left of the trigger guard. It is fitted with blade and rounded top notch sights, a lanyard swivel on the lower left of the grip frame, checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colts and “COLT” banners, and a full blue magazine marked “CAL. 38/COLT” on the base. Includes the original Colt maroon box hand numbered to the gun. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish and 90% plus of the vibrant case colors on the hammer with some light edge wear. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered very light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some mild wear, tape repairs, and a separated edge of the lid. It would be very difficult to find a better condition example! Estimate: 5,000 - 7,500

Exceptionally Fine Pre-World War II Colt Ace Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 6762, 22 LR cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1936, this is an outstanding example of a pre-World War II Colt Ace pistol. Blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and the Colt Ace logo and caliber markings on the right. The frame is marked “60” on the right side of the trigger guard, “X/VP” on the left and fitted with a short checkered trigger, wide checkered hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing, a set of fully checkered grips, and a two-tone magazine with Colt Ace marked base. Includes a Colt maroon box that is very faintly numbered on the bottom (possibly to match the gun). CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with thinning on the grip safety, some scattered light handling marks and some very light edge wear. The grips are excellent with a few scattered very light blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The crushed box is fair with multiple separated edges and some absent pieces. Estimate: 3,500 - 4,750
