Very Scarce Documented Portuguese Contract Savage Model 1907 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter - Serial no. 129753, 32 ACP cal.,
3 3/4 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, hard rubber
grips. Manufactured
in 1915 with the
standard two-line
address, patent date,
and caliber marking on
the top of the barrel
extension and the
Savage trademark on the left of the frame. This is one of only
approximately 1,150 purchased by the Portuguese government. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, a lanyard loop on the butt, and a pair of Portuguese crest, checkered, hard rubber grips. The included factory letter lists shipment on 16 December 1915 to l’Administration de’l’Arsenal de l’Armes.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish and 80% of the vibrant case colors on the trigger with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting. The grips are very fine with a series of hairline cracks in the left panel and otherwise some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured 1910-1917 with
the two-line address, patent
date, and caliber marking on
top of the barrel extension.
It is fitted with a blade front
sight and notch rear sight, as
well as a pair of checkered
hard rubber grips with Savage
logos. The included factory
letter states that the pistol
was manufactured in
1920 and shipped on 20
December 1920 to E.K.
Tryon, a large distributor
in Philadelphia. Also
includes a rare factory box
correctly labeled to the gun.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original matte blue finish and original case colors on the trigger with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, some scattered light spotting, and a small patch of light pitting on the front left of the frame. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with some light handling/storage wear.

Scarce Savage Model
1915 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter
and Factory Box - Serial no. 12788B, 380 ACP cal.,
4 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured from only 1915 to 1917, the Model 1915
is the most rare of the Savage pocket automatics, with
only about 3,900 manufactured in .380 ACP. The top of
the barrel extension is marked with the standard two-line address, patent date, and caliber marking, while the left of the frame has the Savage trademark. It is fitted with the standard blade and notch sights, grip safety, and checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos. The included factory letter lists a manufacture date of 17 March 1916 and shipment the next day to Bostwick & Braun Co. Also includes a correctly labeled factory box.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish and vibrant case colors on the trigger with some light edge wear and a few scattered patches of light pitting. The grips are also very good showing
an attractive chocolate tone, a few scattered light handling marks, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear and tape repairs.

with Factory Letter - Serial no. 28966, 32 ACP cal., 3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured 1910-1917 with the two-line address, patent date, and caliber marking on top of the barrel extension. It is fitted with a blade front sight and notch rear sight,
as well as a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos. The
included factory letter states that this pistol was manufactured in 1910 and shipped to Harry W.
Reinhart on 5 November 1910.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with some scattered light handling marks. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Trigger intermittently fails to function when cocked, otherwise mechanically functions fine.
